Obtaining Royal Thai Police Certificate Clearance

 

 

            As of February 1st, 2003, those wishing to obtain a Police Certificate clearance must apply directly to the Royal Thai Police Department Headquarters in Bangkok, the embassy no longer provide this service.

 

            Please submit the following required documents:

 

-                     A certified photocopy of passport pages by a Notary Public (photo and personal information pages only).  The passport must be valid, not expired.

 

-                     Documents demonstrating that applicant used to live or work in Thailand

 

-                     Certified copy of Thai work permit if applicable

 

-                     Power of Attorney if requiring someone else  to act on your behalf

 

-                     2 passport-size photos

 

-                     3 sets of original fingerprints made by RCMP, local police or authorized facilities

 

-                     Personal information such as date and place of birth, full address in Thailand, employer’s address in Thailand, duration of stay in Thailand, also provide address in Canada as well as employer’s address in Canada and to prepare this information in the form of a resume;

 

-                     If you’re a Thai citizen you must submit a photocopy of your Thai ID Card and House Registration.

 

-                     There is no fee applied for this service. However, applicants must include a self-addressed, proper-sized envelope and 5  “international postage vouchers”

Please note: Thai authorities will not be responsible for lost documents. Processing time is 7 business days plus mailing time unless documents are incomplete or require further investigation.
