Visa Requirements for Teaching in Thailand

The applicant must submit the following to the Embassy:

• Original passport (no copies)
• One visa application filled out completely and signed
• One photo passport size
• An official letter from the school
• School contract
• School registration
• Police certificate clearance stating he/she has no criminal record in Canada
• Teachers degree or teachers course
• High school, or college or university degree
  

The Embassy can only issue single entry (no multiple entries for those who teach in Thailand) with code “B”

Visa fee: $65.00, cash or money order only, no personal cheques.

Please be advised that the school in Thailand must have a work permit for the applicant before he/she begins teaching.

The Embassy will accept photocopies of the above-mentioned documents (except passport and photo, must be original) as the applicant must bring original documents with them to Thailand.

The applicant must also provide the Embassy with a prepaid express post envelope for the return of the passport if he/she applies by mail.
